Carneddau

Description

In the series of beautiful names, Wales has the best prospects. Apart from its pretty name, Carneddau is an impressive massive in the north of Wales, near Bangor. Much of its grounds lie above 3000 feet. Seven of the peaks are above 900 meter. Carnedd Llewelyn is the highest of them, 1064 m.

The Carneddau are part of the Snowdonia National Park in Wales. Special feature are the wild horses habitating the area. Walking opportunities are good for the serious hiker.
